About the Role
A Befriender is a caregiver who provides companionship and emotional support to individuals in their own homes. They help combat loneliness and isolation by forming meaningful connections with their clients, engaging in conversations, participating in activities, and offering social and emotional support. Care at Home Befrienders play a crucial role in improving the mental and emotional well-being of their clients and helping them feel less isolated and more connected to their community.
Competitive Pay:
Drivers: £13.40
Non-Drivers: £12.40
Requirements

Ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Effective communication skills, including tact and sensitivity.

Passion for providing person centred care and for working with people.

Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure.

Ability to work in a challenging situation should the need arise.

Capacity to work under pressure and take a problem-solving approach to work.

Excellent organisation skills.

Sound understanding of accountability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
